O.J

He always tried to act so much older, and them books never meant much at all
instead he focused on a life based on luck, lookin so cold, but never afraid to fall
he dropped out of school, but this man isn’t a fool
he knows the trades of the game, like he created the rules
carries a gun in his pocket because those people can be cruel
he compensates his selfish hate with prescriptions and coke
although he knows too well good things don’t come with dope
saw so many good ones he loved leave this world too quickly
but he never learned the lesson from their mistakes, priorities too tricky
aggressive attitude, born and raised in the game, born to slang
but he hates his fate so he tries to pass the blame, things still remain the same
a smooth talking night walker with eyes that pull them in and take their innocence
words that heal the soul but tear it apart just as much, she’s never been the same since
he fills his days yelling words that only come from intense rage
feeling locked up and about to burst like a lion in a cage
a ticking time bomb, this man’s balance is unresolved
this sweet fighter’s conscience seems to have gotten turned off
he lives by his words, might be a curse, but everything is for a reason
but his promises seem to fade with each changing season
and I’d like to tell you that people really do change
but sometimes their stories always remain the same, the bitterness doesn’t faze him
we run around blinded by the gold and everything is one big test
this is the life we fight for, he is humanity at our best.
